ようやくゴールデンウィークが終わりました。これまでは「ああ、連休よ、終わらないで～」って思っていたのですが、ホテルに異動後は「連休よ、早く終わってくれ～」って思っている自分に気が付きました。これって幸せなのだろうか…(笑)

さて、わたくしサムは初めての連休を乗り越え、ようやくスタッフの仲間に加われたような気がしています。様々なハプニングがありましたがスタッフが一致団結して目標を達成できたことは収穫ですし、チームとしてひとつ成長したような気がしています。

さて、話はまったく変わってとある1枚の写真。バーベキュー後にお客様が片づけてくださったお皿です。美しすぎる…。

私、なぜこういうことが起こるのかひとつの仮説を持っています。それは「日本の小学校では放課後にお掃除をする」ということが一因にあるのではないかと考えています。「自分で使った場所は自分で綺麗にする」という習慣です。

Golden Week is finally over. In the past, I used to think, "Oh, please don't let the holiday end!" But after being transferred to the hotel, I realized that I now find myself thinking, "Oh, please let the holiday end quickly!" Is this happiness, I wonder…?

Now, as for me, Sam ― I feel like I've finally become part of the team after making it through my first long holiday. There were all sorts of unexpected incidents, but the staff came together, worked as one, and achieved our goals. I feel like we've grown as a team.

Now, changing the topic completely ― here's a photo. These are the plates that our guests kindly cleaned up after their barbecue. It's just too beautiful.

I have a theory about why things like this happen. I believe it might be because in Japanese elementary schools, students clean their classrooms after school. It instills the habit of "keeping the space you use clean."
