しまなみ探検の最終章です。

今治のすぐ手前が大島という島になります。最後の橋が来島海峡大橋という大きな橋で、ここを渡ったところにあるサービスエリアはとても広いです。

それはさておき、四国に渡るすぐ手前のこの大島に「よしうみいきいき館」という道の駅があります。

ここでは海鮮七輪バーベキューが楽しめます。

食べたい魚介類や肉類を自分で選んでカゴに入れていきます。水槽の中を泳いでいる魚も選んでお刺身にもしてもらえます。いわゆる舟盛りってやつですね。

なかなかこういう場所はないから一度は訪れてみるのもいいかもしれませんね。旬の真鯛は美味しかったです😋

This is the final chapter of the Shimanami adventure.

Just before reaching Imabari, there is an island called Oshima. The last bridge, Kurushima-Kaikyo Bridge, is a massive structure, and the service area right after crossing it is quite spacious.

That aside, right before crossing into Shikoku, this island Oshima has a roadside station called "Yoshiumi Ikiiki-kan."

Here, you can enjoy a seafood barbecue cooked over a shichirin (traditional charcoal grill).

You can choose the seafood and meat you want, placing them in a basket. You can even pick a fish swimming in the tank and have it prepared as sashimi—what you might call a "funamori" (boat platter).

Places like this are rare, so it might be worth visiting at least once. The seasonal red sea bream was absolutely delicious. 😋
